Nitin Gadkari was happy with the initiative by Rajasthan State Roadways Corporation and announced that “We will make it mandatory for the public transport to install emergency buttons, CCTV cameras, and vehicle tracking system to provide safety to the women passengers.”

A senior officer of RSRTC when asked how the panic button will help passenger, said, “Once the panic button or emergency button is pressed, the CCTV cameras installed inside the bus will display the live footage of bus directly to the control room at central bus stand at Jaipur. The person concerned can then directly seek police investigation by also sharing details of the location of bus by vehicle tracking system installed in the bus.” Safety is now just a button click away.

After launching this pilot project, Nitin Gadkari said,”A notice to have such devices in all public transport buses across the country will be issued on 2nd June 2016.”
As the bus arrived at Sindhi Camp bus stand, city passengers, especially women, applauded RSRTC for the great initiative.
A women passenger said “It is a really good move to ensure security in the public transportation.”
