Creativity is always appreciated and welcomed in a presentable manner which often leads to beautiful results and outcomes. Our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji initiated a step to grow and foster the buds of our nation , and thankfully our children’s innovation and thinking capacity was highly appreciated and honoured by the national institution for transforming india. Pink city is highly privileged to announce that some of its well known institutions such as St. Edmunds School jawahar nagar, Ryan International public school, Subodh Public school, etc, have been funded around Rs. 20 lac from the niti ayog for the opening of advanced research labs for the students.
As many as 13,005 schools across India, out of which 977 were from Rajasthan had applied for ATL. Only a handful of them were chosen for this opportunity.
What is ATL?
With a vision to ‘Cultivate one million children in India as neoteric innovators’, AIM is establishing Atal Tinkering labs in schools across India. ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands-on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Youngsters will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). It would contain educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers.
Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility. In order to foster inventiveness among students, ATL can conduct different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, lecture series etc at periodic intervals.
Not only this but AIM will also provide grant-in-aid that includes a one-time establishment cost of Rs 10 lakh and operational expenses of Rs 10 lakh for a maximum period of 5 years to each ATL. The program of establishment of ATLs across the country would be handled by a National Coordinator (NC) in AIM Directorate.
It is the support and motivation of the school teachers, parents and their guardians that gave fuel to these students for walking on this successful path.
Let us keep encouraging them with all the possible ways as ” CREATIVITY IS CONTAGIOUS , PASS IT ON. “
