With the outbreak of Coronavirus, majorly all the crowded places in the world are shut down; affecting the economy, social lifestyles, work schedules, gatherings basically the all the major spheres of an individual’s life. Having said that, even the state has entered the complete lock-up stage and will be closing all the ancient monuments, tourist places including Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, and many other historically popular spots.
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will be shutting all 224 shielded sites across the state including the renowned Chittorgarh Fort until the last day of March 2020. Not just this the state has banned the foreign and domestic tourists as all the popular destinations are locked and to eschew the spread of Coronavirus amongst the state.
This heavy decision is strongly hitting the tourism sector which was already struggling since the outbreak of the virus in the previous months. Pink City covers a major portion of the golden triangle of tourism that includes Delhi and Agra.
“It is a precautionary measure taken to strengthen the fight against coronavirus. Most of the ASI protected sites in Rajasthan receive thousands of visitors every day making them vulnerable to the virus. So, we have closed them for tourists and locals.” said the ASI superintending archaeological VS Badiger. Post receiving the orders the officials started preventing the entry of the tourists.
The outbreak of Coronavirus has not only affected the victims but also those surrounded by the victims.
