Finally the students of Rajasthan University breathed a sigh full of relief as the headlines declared the scheduled/pending exams of all UG/PG stands cancelled. Every student will be promoted without exams and for that the authorities will be releasing a new set of guidelines addressing the issue in detail.
After all the discussions the government of Rajasthan has finally decided to cancel all undergraduate and postgraduate exams in the state. The exams for all universities, colleges, and the technical institutes in the state shall remain cancelled. Those students appearing for these examinations would be promoted to the next class without examination.
This decision was taken by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot after attending a high-end meeting on Saturday. The Ministry of HRD will be coming up with appropriate decisions regarding marks of students who’ll be promoted without exams post studying the guidelines which will be out in the public within the next few days.
The news was shared via CM Ashok Gehlot’s twitter handle. The tweet read, ” The state government has decided not to conduct examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in all universities, colleges, and technical educational institutions in the state in view of the infection situation of the Corona epidemic. This decision was taken at a high-level meeting at the residence.”
In the meeting Minister of State for Higher Education Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Minister of State for Technical Education Subhash Garg, Chief Secretary Rajiv Swaroop, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Niranjan Arya, Higher Education Secretary Shuchi Sharma, Information and Public Relations Commissioner Mahendra Soni were present.
